UV Pure is pleased to announce that all of its products including the Hallett, Upstream and Cactus lines are certified to meet the new low-lead content requirements for plumbing products. Rigorous testing ensures that all pipes, fittings or fixtures that come into contact with potable water must meet acceptable lead content standards– a weighted average of 0.25% -. All testing is done by NSF International, an independent not for profit organization. NSF certifies products and writes standards for food, water and consumer goods. No quartz fouling in eight year old self-cleaning Hallett 30 system on hard water
Back in 2005, UV Pure received a lovely letter from Ian Bourne of Pure Solutions Water Treatment in Nelson, British Columbia, who wrote, “The Hallett system is far superior to conventional ultraviolet units due to its unique design… The mineral source that supplies the Resort with its potable water has a hardness level of 38 gpg, which causes horrendous maintenance problems with any conventional ultraviolet unit, even those with automatic cleaning devices. UV Pure has designed a unit that deals with this hardness issue.” Today, eight years after his original purchase, he says the unit’s self-cleaning feature is still going strong and he continues to recommend UV Pure to his customers.

Water issues continue to grow in scope and scale
June 8th is World Oceans Day, as officially declared by the United Nations. Many water organizations marked the day by raising awareness through the media about the growing issues of water, including the oceans. The UN describes it as a day to recognize “the many ways in which oceans contribute to society. It is also an opportunity to recognize the considerable challenges we face in maintaining their capacity to regulate the global climate, supply essential ecosystem services and provide sustainable livelihoods and safe recreation. |
