UV PURE TECHNOLOGIES UNVEILS PATENTED FAILSAFE CROSSFIRE TECHNOLOGY™ AT
WATER QUALITY ASSOCIATION CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION
Evolutionary Leap in UV Water Purification Technology is NSF Standard
55 Class A Certified Making The Hallett™ System the World’s
Safest
LAS VEGAS, NV – March 18, 2003 – Designed to solve the
risky problems inherent in conventional UV systems, UV Pure Technologies
has unveiled the Hallett™ System designed with patented Crossfire™ Technology
at this year’s Water Quality Association Convention and Exhibition.
UV Pure’s Hallett systems, recognized worldwide as superior to
conventional UV systems, are available for residential, commercial
and community water applications up to 5,000 households.
UV systems have been used for years to purify drinking water. However,
with conventional systems, safety is not completely assured as the
system may be on, but not working, placing health at risk. The major
problems associated with conventional systems include:
- Incomplete UV disinfection
- False Sense of Safety due to lack of sensors and fail-safe shut-off
- UV Output dropping to unsafe levels
- Frequent and difficult maintenance
Crossfire technology, designed by
water scientist Ron Hallett, solves these problems completely to provide customers
with the most effective
UV treatment available. Incorporating two proprietary high-output lamps,
with elliptical reflectors that target pathogens with radiation from
360°, Crossfire technology ensures the highest UV dose possible
(65 mJ/cm) to deactivate pathogens and provide safe drinking water.
It also makes maintaining the system as easy as changing a light bulb
because system draining is no longer required.
Additionally, dual smart UV sensors are mounted in air ensuring they
cannot foul. The lamps are air-cooled and maintain consistent UV output.
Computerized alarms and an auto shut-off fail-safe valve are also part
of Crossfire to ensure that if water quality is compromised in any
way, the automatic shutdown feature and built-in alarms ensure that
only 100% purified water flows through the tap.
With ANSI/NSF 55 Class A Certification, UV Pure’s Crossfire
technology employs a patented self-cleaning mechanism utilizing a
stainless steel wiper to continually clean the inside of the quartz
tube, eliminating fouling and the need for a water softener. This
also makes abrasive quartz cleaning a thing of the past.
“Choosing a water purification system for your home, commercial
operation or community is one of the most critical decisions you will
ever make,” stated Ron Hallett, Founder and Chief Technology
Office, UV Pure Technologies. “With a Hallett system using Crossfire
Technology you can be sure that your water is receiving the most effective
UV dosage rates for removal of all pathogens including viruses, bacteria,
cryptosporidium, giardia and legionella.”
UV Pure Technologies will be demonstrating the Hallett system with
Crossfire Technology in Booth number 1273 for the duration of the show.
About UV Pure Technologies, Inc.
UV Pure Technologies leads the world in the design, manufacture and
distribution of next-generation, technically advanced UV drinking
water purification systems. UV Pure’s Hallett™ systems
incorporate patented Crossfire™ UV radiation technology which
is fail-safe and virtually maintenance-free. Each system uses dual
smart UV sensors and computer logic to monitor the effectiveness
of purification and to ensure that drinking water is free from all
pathogens: Pure safe water. Always.™
Hallett™ systems are designed for communities of less than 5000
households, commercial uses, and residential installations. The company’s
systems are installed in municipalities, embassies, resorts and golf
courses, schools and hospitals, homes, cottages, and farms in North
America and several third world counties.
