Hallett™ systems solve long standing water challenges for Camping Fairmount.
For over 45 years, Camping Fairmount has offered lakeside camping on its secluded 50 acre site in Lac Brome, Quebec. In recent years, QC legislation governing water distribution systems have presented significant operational and financial challenges for family-owned operations such as this. For example, all campgrounds are now required to operate complete water purification systems, or post Non-Potable Water signs throughout the property.
Camping Fairmount operators have the option of simply posting these warnings signs however doing so was not satisfactory to the owners. When looking at water treatment system options, they faced the prospect of installing an expensive primary disinfection chlorination system. Besides the prohibitive cost, the Swifts wanted to avoid using chlorine as a primary treatment system due to associated health risks and the destructive impact chlorine systems can have on septic systems.
Then Mr. Swift learned about UV Pure’s Hallett™ systems as an alternative solution. A Hallett™ 30 system was installed for a fraction of the price of a chlorine primary system. With this system Camping Fairmount is able to cost-effectively live up to its reputation as a quality campground, going well above the minimum standard of posting Non-Potable Water warning signs on the property.
